AECU serves those working in, or affiliated with, education and educational related institutions in Boone County and seven surrounding counties. Employees of public, private, parochial or home-school related organizations are all eligible for membership in Academic Employees Credit Union. Your family members are also eligible to join.

Once you are a member of the credit union, you can remain a member for life – whether you move, change jobs or retire – as long as you maintain a $25 balance (one share) in your share account.
